Open ocean during a violent storm, dark waves crashing over a surfaced submarine's hull, rain sheeting sideways in the wind. A dinosaur-crocodile hybrid — colossal, armored, dark grey-green hide with jagged bone plates down its spine — rams the submarine's hull from below, forcing the crew into an emergency surface blow as water floods a ballast tank. A navy frigate escorts nearby, guns already loaded and tracking the creature's shape beneath the waves. Sound: howling wind, crashing waves, groaning hull, alarms blaring, radio voices.
Shot 1 (0–3s) — THE HOOK: Low shot across the storm-tossed water. The creature rams the submarine's hull from below, the whole vessel lurching and tilting hard as water floods over the deck, alarms blaring inside. The captain shouts into his radio: "WE'RE HIT BELOW THE WATERLINE! EMERGENCY SURFACE!"
Shot 2 (3–6s): On the frigate, the gun crew tracks the creature's shape circling beneath the churning water — but holds fire, the sub's crew still scrambling out the conning tower into life rafts. The frigate captain calls on the radio: "Hold fire! Get them clear first!"
Shot 3 (6–9s): The last crewman climbs out of the conning tower and drops into a life raft, the raft pulling hard away from the stricken sub through the storm swells. The creature surfaces fully alongside the sinking submarine, alone now in the open water, rain hammering its armored back.
Shot 4 (9–13s) — BIG SLOW-MOTION MOMENT: The creature is alone in open water now. The frigate fires a full broadside. Bullet time — every gun fires together, smoke and flame bursting down the ship's side in slow motion, shells streaking through the rain toward the surfaced creature.
Shot 5 (13–15s): Time snaps back. A massive explosion tears through the creature in the storm-lit water, fire and spray erupting high over the waves. The life rafts ride out the swells safely as the frigate holds position, smoke rolling low through the rain. Cut.
